My name is Jackie and baking is constantly on my mind. If i’m not actually baking in my spare time after work (did I mention I work in food service?) or on weekends, I am always thinking of ways I can make desserts healthier. With a stocked pantry full of various healthy subsitutes like spelt flour, coconut flour, coconut oil, stevia, evaporated cane juice, coconut sugar, agave nectar and much much more, the baking experiments are never ending!
I would like to share with you my trials and tribulations in the kitchen, discuss with all of you ways to make not only desserts healthier but food in general and pictures and thoughts from various outings from markets to cafes and restaurants in my blog posts.
Coming from an Asian background, I like to mix it up a bit in the kitchen and experiment with my baking utilising both Asian and Caucasian methods of baking.
